Why Remap Your Mack?
Mack belongs to the Volvo Group, and its MP engines are close relations of the ones in the Volvo trucks we remap. On a heavy American truck, the gain you feel first is torque low down: it pulls a higher gear with a full load, drops fewer gears on long drags and uses less diesel doing it. If fuel is the bigger worry, our economy remapping leans the map that way.
Mack Diesel Tuning
The calculator lists 9 versions of the 12 litre MP8. The MP8-485M makes 492hp and 2305Nm as standard and a typical 562hp and 2598Nm at Stage 1. That's for a truck in good health, so yours gets checked over before the map goes on.
When you ring, tell us the engine, the mileage, what the truck usually pulls and whether any warning lights are on. That's enough for us to tell you what a remap will do before the truck loses a day off the road.
