Subarus are bought for traction and toughness, on country roads and with a trailer on. A two-wheel-drive rolling road can't measure a symmetrical all-wheel-drive car properly. Our 4WD dyno drives all four, so your Subaru gets a true before and after reading. Our SUV and 4x4 remapping page covers the Forester and Outback for towing.
The turbocharged boxers in the WRX, older Impreza STi, Forester XT and Levorg gain the most, with more mid-range and a sharper throttle. The naturally aspirated engines in the BRZ and XV gain response. For a WRX, there's more to come from our performance remapping and a custom exhaust.
The 2.0 boxer diesel in the Forester, Outback and Legacy gains torque for towing and overtaking, and a little economy on a steady run.
