Performance remapping gets more power, torque and response from your engine by rewriting the software in its engine control unit (ECU). We offer it in 3 stages, from a software-only Stage 1 to a full Stage 3 build, and every map is written in-house by a qualified motorsport engineer and proven on our dyno before the car goes home.

Stage 1 Remapping

Stage 1 is software only. It recalibrates the ECU on a standard car, with no hardware changes, and it's the quickest way to feel a real difference in power, acceleration and fuel economy.

What does a Stage 1 remap involve?

We connect to your car's ECU through its diagnostic port and adjust the engine's settings with specialist software. What changes depends on your car and what you want from it, but only the software changes. Nothing on the engine is taken apart.

Is a Stage 1 remap worth it for my car?

For most standard cars, yes. If you want more power, quicker overtaking or better fuel economy without touching the hardware, Stage 1 is where to start. See what your engine is likely to gain in the Remap Calculator.

Stage 2 Remapping Service

Stage 2 adds hardware to the software. Alongside the remap, it needs an aftermarket exhaust system and a performance intercooler, and the gains go up a clear step from Stage 1.

What does a Stage 2 remap involve?

The performance intercooler cools the air going into your engine, so it can make more power. The exhaust lets the engine breathe out as fast as the remap lets it breathe in. Our custom exhausts page covers the exhaust systems we fit.

Can I go straight to Stage 2 without doing Stage 1?

Yes. Plenty of owners start with Stage 1 and come back for Stage 2, but you don't have to. Your car can go straight to whichever stage you want.

Stage 3 Remapping Service

Stage 3 is for high-performance builds. It takes in any upgrades or previous remaps already on the car, and the map is written to suit how you drive and the performance you're after.

What upgrades does a Stage 3 remap need?

Stage 3 needs high-pressure and low-pressure fuel pumps, a hybrid turbo and other supporting modifications. A gearbox that wasn't built for the extra torque needs looking after too, which is where DSG/TCU remapping comes in. For Audi, Volkswagen, SEAT and Skoda engines, APR's Stage 3 power kits are another route.

Stage 3 suits high-performance cars as well as tuned hatchbacks, and we remap makes from Porsche and Ferrari to McLaren and Lamborghini.

What happens on the day

Check your car in the Remap Calculator or give us a call, then book it in. On the day your car goes on our 4WD dyno for a before run, the map is written for your engine, and an after run shows you the difference in power and torque.

Proven on the dyno

Every stage is measured on our in-house, all-wheel-drive dyno. The car goes on the rollers before we start, so we know what it makes and whether anything is holding it back, and again once the map is written, so you can see the gain for yourself. At each stage the gains get bigger and the map is more tailored to your car, and the dyno is where we check that temperatures and pressures stay safe.

Not sure which stage suits you? Check your car in the Remap Calculator, or press Book Your Remap and we'll talk it through with you.

Performance remap questions

Book Your Remap

How do I book a performance remap?

Check your car in the Remap Calculator and press Book Your Remap, or call 087 744 2633, and we'll arrange a day with you.

Can you remap a car that's already modified or remapped?

Yes. Our Stage 3 remap takes any existing upgrades or previous remap into account, so the map is written for the car as it is now.

How will I know what power my car is making?

Your car is measured on our 4WD dyno before and after the remap, so you see the real figures. For a guide before you book, the Remap Calculator shows standard and remapped power and torque for your engine.

Who remaps my car?

A qualified motorsport engineer carries out every remap, in our workshop on the Youghal Road in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford.
