Silage season doesn't wait for anyone, and a tractor that's down on power costs you hours you don't have. A remap gives a Massey more torque at the revs it works at, so it holds its speed on a hill with a full load and doesn't bog down as easily in heavy ground. If the diesel bill is your main worry, our economy remapping aims the gain at fuel.

Massey is part of AGCO, and we remap the rest of the family too, including Fendt and Valtra.

The calculator runs from the 3000 Series up to the 8000 Series, along with the Activa, Beta and Centora combines. The 6000 and 7000 Series alone cover dozens of engine versions, from the Perkins and Sisu diesels to the later SCR models, so each one has its own entry. Here are 2 of them at Stage 1:

• 7622 SCR: 215 hp and 1,035 Nm as standard, 250 hp and 1,174 Nm at Stage 1
• 6495 6.6 common rail: 185 hp and 841 Nm as standard, 222 hp and 942 Nm at Stage 1

Those are typical figures for a standard tractor in good health. A tractor with plenty of hours on it gets looked over before anything changes.
