Why Remap Your MG?
People buy an HS or a ZS for the value, and a remap adds to it without the bill for a bigger engine. If fuel matters more to you than pace, our economy remapping puts the gain into miles per tank. On an HS with a full load of people and bags, the extra torque makes a real difference on hills, and our SUV remapping page covers that side.
The older MG ZR, ZS and ZT were built alongside the Rover 25, 45 and 75, so they share engines, and we remap those too.
MG Petrol & Hybrid Tuning
The current MGs run small turbo petrol engines, and the HS plug-in hybrid pairs a 1.5 T-GDI with an electric motor. The calculator lists a Stage 1 for it. It also covers diesels such as the older ZS's 2.0 CDTi.
Here are 2 examples from the calculator, a petrol hybrid and a diesel:
- HS 1.5 T-GDI plug-in hybrid: 258 hp and 250 Nm as standard, 290 hp and 350 Nm at Stage 1
- ZS 2.0 CDTi diesel: 115 hp and 265 Nm as standard, 145 hp and 320 Nm at Stage 1
Both are typical for a standard car in good health, and yours depends on its condition and mileage.

What happens on the day
Check your MG in the Remap Calculator or give us a call, then book it in. On the day it goes on our 4WD dyno for a before run, the map is written for your engine, and an after run shows you the difference in power and torque.
If your MG is an automatic, ask us about a gearbox (TCU) remap on the same visit.
